Day 296 - Be Eccentric.

If purple is considered to be a mark of eccentricity, then I love being eccentric. Usually.

Standing in a queue I had my ipod in my hand and my earphones in place when I heard two people behind me saying…

‘Wow – she must really like purple!’
‘Yeah, look, she even has purple in her hair…’
‘And a purple bag…’
‘Purple jacket, purple top and even purple shoes!’
‘I bet she takes out a purple purse when she pays…’

At which point I turned and said – you do know I can hear you, right?

And it was then I realised that I had forgotten to turn my music on…

Day 260 - Wild Life.

It’s been an exciting weekend for us, dance-wise. And as a team we met up and set off on a road trip very early on Sunday morning.

Conversation in the car…
Myra: The good thing about being out and about early is the amount of wild life you get to see.

Minion: Like what..?

Myra: Well, I’ve seen 2 or 3 different birds of prey, just sitting on fence posts near the road. Some rabbits, even a deer!

Minion: All we’ve seen so far is a random man standing by the side of the road, next to a broken down car. He was wearing a dressing gown and had a towel over his arm… That was a little unusual – but probably not what you’d count as wild life.

Me: The most unusual wild life I’ve seen by the side of the road was a pantomime cow…
It was late one night, and in my headlights I caught the back end of a pantomime cow on its knees in front of the front end of the pantomime cow.  The front end of the pantomime cow was turned all the way around facing the wrong direction.
Life was certainly wild in that village!
