It is September and close to the end of another year for me.  And what an incredible year it has been…

I have traveled to far flung places.
Seen, heard and felt things that will have forever changed me.

I have lived fully.  The meaning, the moments and the memories.

I have felt deeply.  The wonder, the awe, the overwhelming passion for love and for life

I have loved completely.  With my heart and with my soul.

I have enjoyed simply.  With my toes in the water, my sights set on sunrise and sunset.

Another year marker will soon be here.  If change helps us to grow, then I am open to all the growth that my next year on this earth has in store for me.

Day 312 - And then...

Having posted so many beautiful examples of the vast array of delicious purpleness there is in the world, it was somewhat inevitable that eventually it would come to this…

No. Just no. No, no, no, no, no!

At which point I turned and said – you do know I can hear you, right?

And it was then I realised that I had forgotten to turn my music on…

Day 290 - It'll cost ya!

In town with my daughter and taking the zig zag route trying to avoid the onslaught of street sellers and charity collectors.

In the beautiful sunshine was a guy waving a big white paper napkin around and shouting, ‘Big Tissue… Get your Big Tissue! Free Big Tissue… All it will cost you is a smile…’

His attitude and enthusiasm totally changed my day… I gave him his smile, and kept one for myself.

Big Tissue anyone?

Day 272 - Balloon Related Incidents.

This picture reminded me of a purple balloon related incident last year, and made me smile.

When I think about it, balloons have been involved in a few incidents that have made me smile.

Day 260 - Wild Life.

It’s been an exciting weekend for us, dance-wise. And as a team we met up and set off on a road trip very early on Sunday morning.

Conversation in the car…
Myra: The good thing about being out and about early is the amount of wild life you get to see.

Minion: Like what..?

Myra: Well, I’ve seen 2 or 3 different birds of prey, just sitting on fence posts near the road. Some rabbits, even a deer!

Minion: All we’ve seen so far is a random man standing by the side of the road, next to a broken down car. He was wearing a dressing gown and had a towel over his arm… That was a little unusual – but probably not what you’d count as wild life.

Me: The most unusual wild life I’ve seen by the side of the road was a pantomime cow…
It was late one night, and in my headlights I caught the back end of a pantomime cow on its knees in front of the front end of the pantomime cow.  The front end of the pantomime cow was turned all the way around facing the wrong direction.
Life was certainly wild in that village!

Travel conversations… Random!
